AvaTrade Partner Code 128979: The Real Story
I get asked about partner codes constantly. Always the same thing: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?
No. AvaTrade doesn't charge commission on forex. You pay the spread. The spread is the fee. A partner code doesn't change that.
Code 128979 unlocks the deposit bonus. Additional trading capital depending on your deposit. Nothing more complicated than that.
Bonus amounts?
A $1,000 deposit gets you $200.
Put in $2,000, get $400.
$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.
Top tier is $14,000 on deposits over $100,000. Not many traders reach that level.
British traders get £160 bonus on £800 deposits. Goes to £11,200 at the top.
Minimum to open an account is $100. Minimum read more for any bonus is $1,000.
Where to enter the code
Registration page. After you enter your phone number, you'll see small text reading "Have a Partner Code?". Click on that text. A field drops down. Type **128979**.
People overlook it constantly because it's hidden.
If you see an error, it's fine. Go ahead and register anyway. Reach out to your account manager first. Tell them you want 128979 applied. They do this manually all the time.
There's a catch with the bonus
There's a volume requirement.
About 10,000 units for every dollar of bonus. A $200 bonus means trading 2,000,000 units before that $200 unlocks. Slower if you're trading micro lots. Regular trading gets you there sooner than you'd expect.
Your deposit is yours. Take it out anytime. Only the bonus has the restriction.
Worth mentioning: while the bonus is locked, it still counts toward your margin. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. That breathing room helps while you're learning.
